God... I don't even remeber the last time I updated. Years maybe? Not much of a writer really, and I haven't been drawing much, BUT, I've been working on it. I need to paint more *__* all the wonderful colors my lovely aunt Dawn Lee gave me just sitting there, it's a crime. I've also been looking at a different medium, called Genesis, it's supposed to give you the best properties of both oils and acrilics without the worst, unfortunatly, as niffty as it is, it's friggin' expensive, I'm just not sure I want to pay 8 to 11 bucks per jar of paint. I may not be a staving artist, but I'm not a rich one either. Note to self: Draw more, paint more and give your watercolors some <3.
>.> So yeah, 2005 was an okay year, Randy's been gone for most of it, and I'm still at my mothers in order to save cash. I was able to make it to Otakon again this year, and it was awsome, I actually got to hang out with Jay and Randy (from level96.net, not the hubby Randy) though, not for as long as I'd have liked, but there's just not enough time to hang out with them and the Otarockman group in just 3 days! *flail* Though, I was glad I was able to get to know the REO people better, time to talk with everyone, espeicaly lunch was nice, and the FullMetal Fantasy. After that was my birthday, which I got a tablet laptop from Randy, my hair dyed red from my mom, and a digital camera from my stepfather. Then my stepfather decided to be a shit, and inform my mother that he no longer loved her and that he wanted to leave her for his childhood sweetheart. Now, this wouldn't have been quite so bad if he 1: wasn't a jackass to mom during all this, 2: There was a point where mom made contact with said sweetheart's husband to find he had been lied to by said sweetheart, mom told him the truth, and as a result, my stepfather yells at mom for telling sweetheart's husband the truth, rather than yelling at said sweetheart for lying in the first place, and 3: hadn't tried to shoo her off with a parsly 500 bucks a month to live off of, when he makes a whoping 6000 a month. If I were her, I would be doing a great deal more damage right now, of course, I am a very vengful person, my mother isn't. Anyway, moving on, comeing up on thanksgiving, I visited my father in Oregon for a few weeks, got to see the whole clan. Got to flood the downstairs, ride a motorcycle in a veteran's day parade, see my aunt and uncle's digs, drive my cousin home, particpate in the church thanksgiving meal, watch Ghost in the Shell: Stand-alone complex with my dad, also watched FFVII: Advent Children with him and Stealth. And one of my favorite things, is my aunt's art classes, she taught me how to use the Genesis paints and helped me work on my watercolor, advised me on what brushes to buy. Then came thanksgiving, and that was fun, then came christmas....
Ho my god..
Christmas you see, didn't start on the 25, or the 25th for that matter, it started on the 10th. How you ask? My first present, Tabby, came, via plane, and there was much rejocing on the morning of the 10th, then a phonecall. It was Randy, who had orignaly planed to arive around the 15/16th was actually comeing in, around 6 pm on that very day. There was bewilderment, then more rejoicing. So, first we pick up the Tabby, Catica came along for the fun, we have to come back to the airport two more times before we get Randy, and that is when the nonstop fun begins. We go to seatle, olympia, god knows where else, We were up at 10am, and maybe to bed by no eariler than 12am. I think there were a total of two days we didn't go out, but we were still busy. Things slowed down around the 20th, Tabby went home, we had friends over on christmas, and then on the 26th Randy had to leave. Then new years, and Cat's bday, we had fun, and that was the end of 2005.
More maybe later.... maybe
